International Youth Day Celebration

The State Government funded the execution of International Youth Day in 2023, 2024, and 2025, celebrated annually on 12th August. The events involved educative lectures, goodwill messages, cultural displays, and medical checkups, presided over by Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan, Commissioner for Youth Affairs.

National Youth Council of Nigeria (Osun State Chapter)

• Grants released in 2023 and 2025.
• Organized “Osun Step Out and Innovation” in April 2024.

• Ramadan and Lenten Lecture on 27th March 2025.

Imole Youth Corps

Launched on 6th February 2025, 10,000 youths were inaugurated into the Imole Youth Corps Scheme and deployed to Teachers Corps, Medical Corps, and Environmental Corps.

• Provision of working tools for Environmental Corps.
• 31 coordinators selected across Local Governments.
• Monthly stipend of ₦30,000 for each member.
• ₦100,000 monthly for Local Government coordinators.

Skills Acquisition Programme

In September 2024, selected youths were trained in Adire making and confectionary (cakes, small chops, meat pies). Take-off stipends were distributed to support their businesses.

Youth Empowerment

In November 2023, Hon. Olagunju Moshood Olalekan empowered a 16-year-old girl, Kejo Shade, a Buka worker, for a brighter future.

Nigeria Youth Parliament

Three youths from Osun State were nominated to represent the state at the National Youth Parliament in Abuja in July 2024.

Imole Youth Engagement

Commissioner launched “Imole Youth Engagement Programme” tagged Commissioner at your door step at Dharmiecoal Textile Art Gallery, Osogbo on 13th March 2024.
