THE EVOLUTION OF THE CREATIVE INDUSTRY IN OSUN STATE

The creative industry in Osun State has evolved overwhelmingly since the inception of the Gov. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke administration.

Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, in his ultimate vision, for the first time recognised and created the Creative Industry, Events and Entertainment Sector in Osun State with the sole purpose of empowering, engaging and creating opportunities for youths in Osun State to prosper as they enhance and develop their creative talents, duly noting that the
Creative Industry in Nigeria is today the biggest employer of labour.

Mr Governor, the Numero Uno Creative in Osun State, changed the Nigerian political template with the unique and symbolic introduction of an entertainment perspective to politics, thus revolutionising the Nigerian polity.

Adire Osun Festival, Mr Governor’s premium legacy project, was successfully birthed in December 2025 to the glory and admiration of all and sundry like never before seen in Osun State.

The sky has thus become the starting point for creative minds in Osun State.

Adire Osun Festival 2026 promises to be bigger and better as Detty December once again comes to Osun State in an atmosphere of fun and excitement with flourishing IGR, business, culture and tourism enhancement.
